The proud MacDonnell Regional township of Finke (Aputula) has won the 2017 Northern Territory Tidiest Town accolade at the Awards Night held in October 2017 in Alice Springs.   Keep Australia Beautiful Council (NT) CEO, Heimo Schober said Finke’s (Aputula) dedication to keeping their community tidy and beautiful made it a stand-out this year.

The town of Galuwinku is doing looking very clean and tidy!  Congrats on the hard work and effort involved in keeping the town tidy and litter free. Galuwinku is taking part in the Territory Tidy Towns program, which is open to all communities in the NT.  Find out how you can get involved here.  

The township of Maningrida (the biggest remote township community in NT) has effectively and successfully  continuously achieved positive social and environmental improvements throughout the year.  Keep an eye out for the ‘Maningrida Dream Team’ in their orange shirts as they are hard at work keeping Maningrida Beautiful.    They are going hard in our Territory Tidy Towns

The National Judging of the Tidy Towns took place in March 2017. The judges travelled to Areyonga, the NT National winner, to view the town. Special mention to the Areyonga Community Champion (Strong Woman) Daphine Puntjina for her recognised efforts and commitment to the beautiful community and Northern Territory town of Areyonga.
