Henbury Eco-School in Darwin are continually increasing the school’s sustainability efforts with students and teachers helping create marine debris awareness, by fashioning a giant mosaic turtle through teamwork activities outlining some of the related issues of concern. (We wonder if their giant mosaic turtle was picked up by satellite?)
Henbury Young Reporters for the Environment are in the process of submitting the below photo in to the ‘Young Reporters’ competition. They are highlighting the impact plastics and rubbish is having on the animals that live in the ocean.
Henbury School students and teachers have also recently launched and commenced their reduce, reuse and recycle campaign in a wonderful effort to reduce waste into landfill and increase the amount of recycling that occurs within each classroom.
Great effort Henbury School!
