Young Reporters for the Environment Australia Litter Less competition

Darwin High School is one of the recipients of the Young Reporters for the Environment $500 grant.  The grant is designed to be used towards investigating and reporting on a litter-related issue in the school ground and/or community.

One of the items Darwin High School has highlighted for this grant is signage for their bins.

Currently they have 8 yellow bins that are used to recycle 10c bottles and cans but currently they are not being used effectively as students are not clear on what to put in them.  They plan to have students paint the bins and design signage to make it clear and easy to understand what can be placed into the recycling bins.

Good luck Darwin High School and we look forward to seeing the end result!
