There has been a lot happening in Finke – and not just the Finke Desert Race 2018! Here are just some of the updates:
A dedicated waste area was set up for the race camp for Finke’s long weekend. Thank you to all the visitors and the campers who did really well by putting the rubbish in the right areas. There are plans in the pipeline to increase the amount of rubbish bins for next year.
The school and civil team did a rubbish pick up at the sports ground at Finke to clean up some litter that was left over the weekend. Well done to the school kids and civil team!
The team from the Trachoma Program came out and painted the toilet block at the sports grounds. It’s a great reminder for the kids to have a clean face and to wash your hands to avoid infections and keep healthy.
