What better way to share the magic of your players, than organising a Boot Buddy Program. We’re asking club members, administrators and volunteers to lobby your local club to start up a pre-loved boot reuse program. Let’s start getting players to donate their old (outgrown) boots and sports shoes for next seasons new younger players. The magic in those boots and shoes can still live to play another day.
The aim of the program is to reduce landfill and apply the practice of donating books and school materials to the sporting world. If you’re a player with boots that don’t fit anymore, or have kids who’ve outgrown their boots or sports shoes please don’t throw them away. Ask your club to join the Boot Buddy Program to coordinate the receipt and distribution of outgrown boots and shoes. Your club simply needs to create a collection box to keep the boots from players and communicate the program with the parents and players. Hopefully your boots can pass on the magic to younger players.
