Welcome to the Keep Australia Beautiful Council (NT) (KABCNT)), a Northern Territory registered charity, not-for-profit community organisation dedicated to enhancing environmental wellbeing across the Territory. Our team specialises in engaging remote and regional communities, understanding that each has its own unique cultural, environmental, and logistical features. By collaborating closely with local leaders, elders and residents, we help identify community priorities and co-design initiatives that improve public spaces, manage sustainability effectively.

Through our flagship programs — including Territory Sustainable Communities Tidy TownsEco-Schools, and targeted litter-reduction and waste-management initiatives — we encourage and celebrate local action, leadership, and innovation in sustainability.

We also work alongside land councils and traditional owner groups to support community led approaches that respect Country, culture, and connection to land, ensuring our programs are both environmentally and culturally appropriate.

The landscapes, communities and environments of the Northern Territory are unique and precious. From remote homelands to regional towns and coastal zones, maintaining clean, healthy and sustainable places not only improves liveability, it also helps preserve cultural heritage, natural beauty and the health of our land and people. Through our work, we aim to empower Territorians to make lasting and meaningful change in their communities.

Whether you are a school, business, community group or individual, you can engage with us through membership, volunteering, joining a program or simply by adopting everyday sustainable habits. By working together, we amplify our impact.
