The winners of the Top End’s 2022 Senior’s Beautiful Gardens Competition have been announced.
The annual competition, which is aimed at residents over the age of 65, was celebrated at a special awards ceremony in Darwin yesterday.
Nine spectacular gardens have been recognised this year, with Territorian Valda Lefebvre taking out the Best Large Garden category.

Communal Garden
Winner – Patricia Jacobson
KABCNT CEO Heimo Schober said the competition gets better every year, with a beautiful range of gardens in the running to win.
“I would like to thank all of the nominees and those community members that nominated for showcasing and welcoming us into your gardens,” Mr Schober said.
“The passion and enthusiasm for gardening that you obtain is what helps to make the Northern Territory beautiful. It was evident that you all invest a lot of time, great pride and joy in your gardens so I am pleased this competition gives the recognition and acknowledgment that you all deserve.
“Thank you for being part of another spectacular year and we can’t wait for 2023.”
