Congratulations on Warruwi on winning the following Awards for the 2018 National Territory Tidy Towns program:

WARRUWI, also known as Goulburn Island, is situated in Arnhem Land approximately 300Km east of Darwin and just off the coast of West Arnhem Land. This mission island settlement was established back around 1916 has now approx 500 residents living there. This commendation was given in appreciation and recognition for the community’s sustained litter control efforts and in the hope that it may inspire collaborative community drive and ambition towards greater improvements into 2019 and beyond. Warruwi community, you certainly have the makings for a great future.
