ALPA wins Environmental Innovation award for second year running

The Arnhem Land Progress Aboriginal Corporation (ALPA) won the Keep Australia Beautiful Council NT’s Environmental Innovation Award for the second year running!

This is largely in recognition of ALPA’s Plastic Fantastic 3D Printing program that recycles plastic waste into 3D Printed objects. In addition, ALPA has also installed solar panels onto the Darwin office and installed low voltage LED lighting in most of the main ALPA stores.

ALPA participants at Milingimbi and Ramingining received training in 3D Printing design with Tinkercad, as well as electronics and 3D printing production from ModFab. This video shows some of the participants talking about their experience of the program.
