Eco-Warriors from Parap Primary School launched their new recycling centre initiative in June by handing out orange container collection bags and spreading the message of the importance of recycling single use drink containers.
The response was overwhelmingly positive with many parents taking bags home to collect containers in. When the bag is full, it is returned to the front office and swapped for a clean empty bag.
After the Eco-Warriors have sorted the containers and they’ve been taken to the depot for a refund, all money collected will be used to continue or enhance the work of the Eco-Warrior’s various projects.
