Santa Teresa a former gold mining town establish as a Catholic Mission in 1950; it is located approximately 85 km east of Alice Springs.
Santa Teresa has been extremely active and effective over the last three years in its collaborative efforts to reduce ground litter and change waste disposal behaviour and attitudes through community education, ownership and responsibility.
